Please join Tim Lanfri,
"Master Gardeners" organic vegetable gardening specialist,
for an inspiring and empowering class focused on
what do to in the food garden this month. This class
will cover what can be planted (indoor and out),
how to prepare for the planting, how to care for
what is growing, when and how to harvest, and what
to me planning for in the near and longer term.
This class will set you up for success. Class registration
includes hand-outs and "phone support"
from Tim or LS staff.
This class may be taken individually or as part
of a series.

about getting chickens? Not sure what the "adventure"
will entail. Well, we are pleased to offer this
enabling class on raising the backyard chick flock.
This class will cover how to get started, which
breeds to select, what to expect (i.e., how to prepare),
coop design, and how to deal with common challenges
- poop, predators, pests, health.

All About Fruit Trees

class will focus on selecting the proper fruit tree(s)
for you and your site, and address type and variety
selection. We will also discuss care and pruning.
If you want to fully enjoy the tempting bounty of
trees, you wont want to miss this class.

FEST!

Chicken Fest
is both a celebration and an educational empowerment
event focused on our inquisitive, entertaining and
egg laying backyard friends.
On March 27, Friday, the focus is on kids with an
interactive and age-appropriate "Chicken 101"
every hour on the hour. The program will last 20-30
minutes.
March 28-29 will feature workshops on chicken raising,
coop building and health, cooking classes, demostrations
and "chicken games." Saturday, March 28,
will feature a fiddle jam.
