"Master Gardeners" organic vegetable gardening specialist,
for an inspiring and empowering class focused on
what do to in the food garden this month. This class
will cover what can be planted (indoor and out),
how to prepare for planting, how to care for what
is growing, when and how to harvest, and what to
be planning for in the near and longer term. This
class will set you up for success. Class registration
includes hand-outs and "phone support"
from Tim or LS staff.
This class may be taken individually or as part
of a series.

Introduction to Native Plant Landscaping

class is an introduction to landscaping with native
plants. The emphasis will be on both converting
to an entirely native landscape (in an urban/suburban
setting) and using native plants among non-natives
in a more conventional landscape. Come learn about
our local plant gems ... just in time for our native

Glen Andresen will take you through the basics of
backyard beekeeping using only organic techniques.
Topics will include: basic equipment, where/how
to get bees, what to look for inside the colony,
swarming, nectar-producing plants, harvesting honey,
pests and disease, beeswax and overwintering. Cost
includes Glen's mentoring during your first year
